The Railway Children

Performed 22, 23 and 24 July 2011

Twelve years ago we performed this play for the first time: an award winning performance in Kedington in May 1999 and a rare away staging at the Quay Theatre in Sudbury in August of the same year.

The play is set in a small village in Yorkshire around 1910. It follows the fortunes of three children and their mother, who, due to an unfortunate twist of fate, have to leave a comfortable life in London and live in much reduced circumstances in a place where they are not known. They make friends in the village and become popular members of the small community.

Directed and produced by Sue Brown and Celia Bradnam.
