Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Performed 27, 28 and 29 November and 4 and 5 December 2009
Does this one need a description? OK then. Many, many years ago ..... in the far off land of Moravia ..... there lived a Wicked Queen ..... The Wicked Queen had a stepdaughter, Snow White, who was fairer than she, according to the Lord of the Mirror. So she set about having Herman the Henchman kill her so that Prince Lorenzo, who was tasked with marrying the fairest in the land, would have to marry her. But not to worry, boys and girls, Herman had a good heart and he spared Snow White. But she had to hide out in the Magic Forrest where she was discovered by the Seven Dwarfs, who ran a diamond mining operation there. The Wicked Queen got wind of this and, disguised as an ugly old woman (not much of a stretch then...), gave Snow White a poisoned apple. Thanks to Fairy Goodheart this didn't kill Snow White but rather put her in a deep, deep sleep. Only a kiss of true love could awaken her. And guess what, Prince Lorenzo was in town and they lived happily ever after!
Hope I didn't spoil the plot.
Directed and produced by Sue Brown, assisted by Celia Bradnam.
