Theft
Performed 23 and 24 May 2008
The Eric Chappell play Theft is a comedy with a cast of five: Peter Upton, Celia Bramwell, Rob Nicholas, and Paul & Jill Davis. The action takes place in the living room of John and Barbara Miles (Rob & Celia). They've just come back from a party, accompanied by their friends Trevor and Jenny Farrington (Paul & Jill), only to find that their house has been burgled. Peter plays Spriggs, the burglar who pretends to be a policeman and can't remember his name: he gives a different name every time someone asks. He plays out all the characters against each other, as he knows all their dirty little secrets.
Some years ago the Ketton Players put on a production of Natural Causes, also by Eric Chappell. As Theft this was a five character play and it shared two of the cast (Peter Upton and Rob Nicholas) and one of its cast, Jill Holmes, is Theft's director.
Drected by Jill Holmes, assisted by Sue Hards.
